Rae plays resort in only UK show

A former Cardinal Newman student, tipped for music stardom, plays the only UK show on her tour in Morecambe next Friday.

Teenager Rae Morris, who is signed to Atlantic Records, is the star of the resort’s Stages Live show. It is organised by arts charity More Music at its base The Hothouse.

Rae, from Blackpool, is on the same label as Plan B, Paulo Nutini and Ed Sheeran, as well as Jay-Z and Bruno Mars. She tours Europe throughout Nov-ember before this, her only UK headline gig in the UK, and a rare opportunity to see an artist on the brink of success in an intimate venue.

The 19-year-old writes many of her piano-led confessional songs in a garden shed studio in Blackpool.

Support is from Lancaster girl Katy Pickles, a singer-songwriter from More Music’s Stages project. The scheme encourages youngsters to learn instruments, write songs and perform. For tickets, call 01524 831997
