With more than 33 years experience between them, Alan Simpson, Lettings Manager and Hayley Sugden, Sales Manager at Dewhurst Homes, are delighted with the record year of business Dewhurst Homes has just experienced.

A busy and successful end to the year brings positive news to both sales and lettings.

Alan says: “With the demand and supply for letting properties greater than ever, it is becoming increasingly important that there is a decent quality product available.

“We find that if properties are offered to let in a good condition and a well presented state, it is far easier to find a suitable tenant quickly. “Our tenant application procedures ensures good quality tenants who are also more likely to rent for longer and maintain the property better.

“There is a decent supply of rented accommodation to suit most budgets, due in part to the rise in the number of buy to let landlords taking advantage of the fall in house prices and increase in rental yield, and a rising number of ‘accidental landlords’ who find themselves becoming landlords because their personal situations have changed”

Sales Manager Hayley says: “Sales have been very positive throughout the year and are continuing to remain so. Pricing our properties realistically and being highly proactive for our vendors, is what creates our successful sales.

“Currently being a buyer’s market, offers being made are sometimes below vendors expectations, however in cases where vendors are purchasing onwards, we ourselves liaise with the estate agent and negotiate on our clients behalf, to secure a deal on the property they are interested in purchasing and ensuring the sales chain completes successfully. Properties under £500,000 are selling well. With continued hard work, dedication and good levels of communication with our clients, we are confident that we will have a good end to the year and a prosperous start to 2013”.
