Plans have been unveiled to build 130 new homes on land in Garstang.
Developers have submitted the proposals to Wyre Council to develop the land off Kepple Lane, close to the A6.
Out of the 130 homes planned, 39 will be affordable.
The council has already received letters of objection from local residents who raise concerns the market town’s services are already over stretched.
However a spokesman for Sedgwick Associates Chartered Town Planners, supporting the scheme, said: “The application site benefits from being adjacent to an established residential community and is within easy reach of local services and facilities.
“It is proposed that access to the site be achieved from the A6.
“A separate pedestrian access is also proposed along the A6 and a cycle/pedestrian route will be provided.”
