A Good Friday Walk of Witness will take place in Preston city centre.
Father Timothy Lipscomb, vicar of Preston, will lead a procession off from St George’s Church in St George’s Street at 11.45am.
It will then travel along Lune Street, to the cenotaph on the Flag Market, before finishing at Preston Minster in Church Street at noon. A half hour service will then be held.
Father Timothy said: “The service is always well attended with 200 to 300 people coming last year.
“I think people are getting a bit sick of the predictable hymns and readings though, so this year we’ll be doing things slightly differently.
“We’ll still have topical hymns, but we’ll be using the cross more to drape symbols on when we have readings.”
