A Preston man is wanted on prison recall.

Ronald Mellor, 38, from Preston was originally sentenced to 54 months imprisonment in November 2011 for a violent burglary.

He was released from HMP Thorn Cross in February on licence.

He is wanted on recall after failing to attend a probation appointment.

He is thought to have links to the Merseyside area.

DS Dixon from Preston CID said: “I would urge anyone who has seen Mellor or knows of his whereabouts to get in contact with us at their earliest opportunity.

“I would ask the public not to approach him but to report any sightings of him to us on 101.”
