PRESTON Minster will be the venue for an important milestone on the path to the arrival of Lancashire’s next Bishop, Julian Henderson.
‘Praying for Julian’ on Friday night is part of the preparation for his forthcoming consecration and inauguration as Lancashire’s Anglican Bishop, the Bishop of Blackburn.
And Anglicans from across Lancashire will come together that evening at the Minster to pray for his ministry.
The event will run from 7pm to 9pm and churches from Blackpool to Burnley and Lancaster to Leyland have been encouraged to send representatives, although the event is also open to all who wish to attend.
The Minster will also be open from 5pm for anyone who is unable to attend in the evening but wishes to pray on the way home from work.
‘Praying for Julian’ will be led by the Archdeacon of Blackburn, John Hawley and the Archdeacon of Lancaster, Michael Everitt.
