Power cut hits hundreds of properties

More than 1,100 homes and businesses in Chorley were without electricity after a power cut.

The power went off shortly before 10.45am today at 1,135 proerties.

A spokesman for Electricity North West said there was a fault with an underground cable.

Engineers went to the site and electricity supplies were restored at 12.20pm.
