Tributes have been paid to a Preston cricketer who has died aged 28.
Murtaza Hussain, a married father of one from William Henry Street, died after a car overturned in Pakistan on Wednesday.
He had been in the country for a week to attend a cousin’s wedding, and had been due to fly home the day after the crash.
Mr Hussain was well-known in the local cricket community, having played for Preston Cricket Club for nine years.
Club chairman Younis Patel said: “Everyone involved in the cricket club is devestated by the news.
“Murtaza was a very passionate player and a valuable member of the second team, and was on the verge of making the first team.”
Two other family members were in the car Mr Hussain was travelling in, and his 18-year-old cousin was also killed.
