Lancashire-born Liberal Democrats leader Tim Farron MP has spoken of his “heart break” after Britain voted to leave the European Union.

Originally from Lostock Hall, Mr Farron was speaking to the BBC after the news broke this morning that 51.8 per cent of Brtiain’s voters chose the ‘Leave’ vote.

The Member of Parliament for Westmorland and Lonsdale said he was “gutted” at the result.
