Police are appealing for information following reports of a man exposing himself in Much Hoole and Penwortham, near Preston.

Three incidents have happened in recent weeks and police believe they may be linked.

The most recent incident was on Thursday at around 8.20pm when a man exposed himself to a woman who was out running on Liverpool Road, near to Brook Lane, in Much Hoole.

The man made off onto Brook Lane and is described as white, around 6’2” tall, of skinny build with light
coloured hair and was wearing dark coloured jeans and a long sleeved top. Just before 7pm on New Year’s Eve a
woman was waiting for a bus on
Liverpool Road in
Penwortham when she noticed a man was touching himself next to her.

The man got on the same bus as the woman and remained on it after she had departed at Mere Brow.

The man is described as white, but with tanned skin, around 5’7” tall with dark short hair and was wearing a black bubble jacket and dark blue jeans.

And at 1.25pm on Tuesday December 17 a man got out of a red car, possibly a Ford Focus or Fiesta, on The Fox Cub car park on Liverpool Road in Much Hoole and exposed himself to a woman, before getting back in and driving off towards Southport. The man is described as white, around 6’3”, of slim build, aged 23-24 years of age and was wearing black, smart trousers, a white shirt and a light grey hooded zip up top.

Det Insp Damian Barrow said: “The two ‘flashing’ incidents appear to be linked by the description of the man involved and on both occasions the man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

“Whilst the incident at the bus stop is slightly different, and the description of the man appears to be slightly
different to the other two, I cannot ignore the fact that this incident has happened in close
proximity the other two and may well also be linked.”
