A Preston takeaway is £80 worse off after robbers broke in and stole money from the till.

Police are now appealing for witnesses for the incident which happened last night at Mr Fredy's takeaway, formerly Spice Lounge, at 393 Blackpool Road.

Police say the offenders gained entry through the back door sometime between 11pm last night and 3pm today before raiding the till and taking £80.

Shiraj Miah, owner, said: "They've somehow got in through the back door and taken the money. It's strange that's all they took as there was computer there as well. We really hope the police can catch who did this."

Police say anyone with any information should call 101.
