Police appeal after theft of alcohol from Lancashire store

Police have released images after the theft of alcohol from a Lancashire store.

An appeal was launched after six crates of lager were stolen from a shop in Morecambe.

Police said at about 8.30pm on January 31, two males entered the Co-operative food store, also known as the Late Shop on Regent Road in Morecambe.

Both males then selected three crates of lager each and then left the store and walked off, failing to pay for the goods.

The total value was £60.

The first suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, of average build with a shaved head.

He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and dark coloured trainers with a white stripe around the bottom.

The second suspect is also described as a white male in his 30s, of medium to stocky build with short brown hair.

He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and dark coloured trainers.

PC Carl Wood, from Lancaster and Morecambe Police, said: “We would ask the public to study the images released and I would urge anybody that recognises either of the individuals to get in contact with us.”
