THERE were exotic animals, live music and an Easter egg hunt as Preston hosted its annual Easter Lancashire Market.

The city’s Business Improvement District (BID)staged the Lancashire Market in stalls along Friargate on Easter Saturday, and thousands turned out in
the morning – before the weather turned in the afternoon.

The county’s best produce was on offer, from objets d’art to Lancashire cheese, and there was plenty to keep youngsters entertained.

While the Eater Bunny and Alice in Wonderland handed out eggs from Your
Princess Party and Friends, staff from Turbary Woods owl and bird of prey sanctuary brought along some feathered friends.

The market aims to draw people into Preston, and give producers and businesses
the opportunity to showcase locally-made produts, and
was being held for the sixth year.
