“Photography is a big passion of mine - I count myself very lucky to have a job that I love”.
Sam Reynolds is the founder of the editorial photographic agency Shoot The Living, based in Ribbleton, Preston.
This month sees the launch of his first exhibition, Silent Pride - 50mm, at The Dukes gallery in Lancaster.
A former Evening Post photographer, Sam founded the agency in August 2011.
The 30-year-old, from Ashton, Preston, said: “I’m really happy to launch Shoot The Living’s first exhibition, as it is a mark of progress in the agency’s achievements in the first 18 months.”

Sam prides his organisation on being full of pleasant people, “bringing back that old Northern hospitality we used to know and love”.
Primarily covering the North West, he says “there are no boundaries as to where our photographers and I would go” and that “our photographers are that passionate about the job, that their happiness is a natural by-product, making it a pleasant experience for everyone involved.”
The exhibition is named ‘Silent Pride’ as it reflects those people who still think that having their photograph taken ‘matters’.
He said: “Photography is becoming more and more commonplace as part of our everyday lives.

“The average person is recorded, one way or another, increasingly more day by day.
“This has led to a certain complacency when it comes to having one’s picture taken.
“Occasionally we meet a person who is apart from this casual approach.
“The way they stand, the way they look down the lens. They are still proud. And we absolutely love these people.”

Admission to the exhibition, which features 18 striking portraits, is free.
It runs until March 24. Check opening times on 01524 598500.
