The town of Leyland came to a standstill on Thursday as the funeral procession of Marine Paul Warren passed by.

Standard bearers led the procession followed by a police escort and the funeral cars from the family home on Ingleborough Way to St Andrews Church, on Church Road.

I was at marine warrens funeral yesterday and the release of the doves was lovely I like many of my friends who attended were unaware that it was a complimentary service..Well done DESTINY DOVES BLACKPOOL I am sure your kindness will one be repaid..God Bless You..

DESTINY DOVES BLACKPOOL Thurday 8th July 2010 Today we were Honourd to do a White Dove Release for another one of our Fallen Heroes Marine Paul Warren from Charlie Company 40 Commando Royal Marines at St Andrews Parish Church Leyland the turn out of the crowd for paul was fantastic.lets hope all our boys will soon return home safe.our thoughts are with all the families of our soldiers past and present.god bless. How sad,I hope the dignified and peacefull funeral help in some way,to comfort Pauls family.RIP Marine Paul Warren.We can all see how much he was loved and respected.

Well done to the people of Leyland and the people who travelled from other areas who came to pay there respects and brought Leyland town centre to a stand still today..I am sure in time this will be a comfort to his family, friends and fellow comrades..But most of all thank you Marine Warren who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we can live in the safety we live in, Like the many who have fallen before you, You will never be forgotten..Rest In Peace marine warren..A true hero...
