Passengers travelling through Chorley Interchange are set to benefit after opening hours to the information desk were extended.

Lancashire County Council saw an opportunity to increase the opening hours from 5am to midnight after completing a new contract.

County Councillor John Fillis, cabinet member for highways and transport, recently visited the interchange.

He said: “The new service is open for longer and based on the station concourse, which can clearly be seen to provide easy accessibility for passengers.

“Working with others we hope to improve the service further and provide more information, not just about bus times, but about events within Chorley, council and community services generally.”

The council have managed to make the improvements, despite the fact that they faced government cuts of around £300m.
