A sheltered housing scheme has benefitted from the introduction of additional parking facilities provided by Chorley Community Housing (CCH).
Elderly residents at Calder Avenue had expressed concerns that they were unable to park directly outside their homes.
In response, CCH has transformed a previously unused grassed area into 10 new parking bays.
Resident Audrey McDonnell said: “We had struggled for so long to park near our home and often found it difficult to walk the distance from where we parked to our front door.
“The new parking is fantastic.”
The work was part of a programme which has delivered an additional 43 off road parking bays across the borough this year.
Councillor Holgate, district Councillor said, “I’m delighted that this scheme has finally come to fruition.”
