Parish councillors in Chorley will discuss the 2014 Ironman bike route which comes through part of their village this summer.
The subject is on the agenda at the next meeting of Brindle Parish Council, taking place in the community hall, Water Street, Brindle, on Monday, at 7.30pm.
The parish council says it is not aware of the exact route through Brindle yet and wants to know more about the race so it can alert its residents.
The 10th Ironman UK returns to Bolton this year. Cyclists will embark on a 112-mile, three-loop journey from Wigan and onto the breathtaking Lancashire countryside.
The course includes Sheep House Hill where spectators can get up close to the athletes in Tour de France style.
