‘MUSIC and the Mind’, a week-long festival reflecting on mental health and wellbeing, returns to Preston on Saturday.
Open Mind is a showcase of good health and quality of life events, and is open to all. Showcasing talent from a range of people and consisting of information, discussions, workshops and concerts providing wonderful entertainment from a perfect mix of professional and amateur artists, the festival aims to raise awareness of mental health issues and deal with some of the stigma that people experiencing mental health issues may face.
Mayor of Preston, Coun Nick Pomfret, said: “We are all unique and if this festival goes some way to shaping positive attitudes about mental health, then it will have been successful.”
