Lorna Forgione's talented moggie 'Cougar' has mastered a range of special skills that have amazed his owner and her friends.

But Lorna, a support worker was stunned when she discovered her 'claw-some' cat, had learnt how to use a toilet without any training.

She says: "Nobody taught him to go to the toilet he just seemed to learn how to use it all by himself. One morning I woke up to the sound of water running in the bathroom. I went in thinking we had a leak and was amazed to see Cougar perched on the toilet.

"He sat on the lid, did his business and then scratched the toilet seat with his back paws.

"When I told my friends nobody believed me, so I made a video and posted it on Facebook to show them what he could do.

The 8-year-old Bengal has also figured out how to raid the kitty biscuit tin, forcing his owner to bolt the cupboard door to stop his 'meows-chievous' antics.

Cougar even follows the family along the road and regularly pops into the corner shop to say hello, says Lorna.

"He's really good at opening doors too and and I've had to put a latch on the cupboard door to stop him from stealing the cat biscuits.

"Cougar even expects me to leave the tap running after I've brushed my teeth so that he can have a drink.

"I've no idea how he learnt to do these tricks but he's a Bengal and I think they tend to be quite clever cats.

"We've had him since he was a kitten so I know he was never trained to do any of these things.

"I just wish my other cat would work out how to use the toilet, then I could get rid of the litter tray."
