Car boot sale date in village

A CAR boot sale will be held at Walmer Bridge Village Hall, Gill Lane, Walmer Bridge, Preston.

The sale is set to take place between 9am and 1pm on Sunday, September 28.

Bring your own table. Funds go towards the village hall, a registered charity.

Fundraiser for ambulance fund

MOSS Side Leyland’s Women’s Institute is holding a fundraising event in aid of North West Air Ambulance on Friday September 26.

The event will be held between midday and 4pm at Leyland United Reformed Church on Hough Lane in Leyland. Entry is £2.

PEOPLE can find out more about Individual Electoral Registration at a roadshow today. Preston Council will be at the Acregate Labour Club car park between 11am and 4pm offering advice and people who don’t have internet access at home will be able to register.

Those signing up will need to take their National Insurance Number.

Annual festival starts today

THE sixth annual Sausage, Bacon and Black Pudding Festival starts today inside and outside Chorley Market.

The festival is an all day event and it’s also on Saturday. Samples will be available to customers throughout the day with 30 choices of sausage available to try.

CHORLEY and District Scouts are holding a re-union tomorrow for former scouts to meet old friends. It’s being held at the scout centre in Wright Street from 11am until 2pm.
