Consultation on plans for fields

RESIDENTS are being encouraged to give their opinions on the future of fields in Chorley.

Land off Euxton Lane, known locally as Strawberry Fields, has been designated for commercial development by Chorley Council. Consultation ends at the end of this month.

Wheelie bin fire

VANDALS set fire to a wheelie bin in a Preston street.

Firefighters were called to Sion Close, Ribbleton, on Wednesday night.

A bin had been wheeled into bushes and set alight.

Town council

ADLINGTON Town Council meets next Monday evening.

The venue is the Community Centre, Railway Road. The meeting starts at 7.15pm.

Two hurt in crash

TWO people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a two-car collision on the Coastal Road, at Morecambe.

Firefighters cut the roof off one vehicle to release the occupant yesterday afternoon.

Appeal for volunteers

A charity which supports families in Longridge is appealing for volunteers.
