No licence or insurance

SUSAN Andrea Wardle, 58, of Silvester Road, Chorley, has pleaded guilty to driving a Peugeot 206 in Silvester Road on February 21 without an appropriate licence or insurance.

Chorley Magistrates’ Court issued a six-point penalty, fined her £150 with a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85. She is banned from driving until she passes a test.

Cannabis plea

DANIEL Patrick Hutchinson, 22, of Lathom Street, Preston, will appear for sentencing at Preston Magistrates’ Court on August 26 after pleading guilty to possessing 9.26g of cannabis with the intent to supply, and carrying a fish knife in Harewood Road.

He is currently on bail.

Nursery homes

PLANS have been launched to build seven houses on the site of a former nursery at 90 Moss Lane, Hesketh Bank, Preston.

The proposal includes the demolition of a building on the site.

Go exploring on guided walk

A GUIDED walk through Coppull will be held on Sunday.

It will take in Yarrow Valley Park, Throstle Nest Woods, Ellerbeck and Hic Bibi.

The walk starts at 10am outside the Treeface Cafe at Yarrow Valley Park.

It will cover six miles and walkers are advised to dress for the weather conditions.

Market returns

A FARMERS’ market will be held at 10am on Sunday at Hoghton Tower.

There will be fresh, locally-sourced produce on offer.

Admission is £1 per car.

Gardeners’ time for questions

A GARDENERS’ Question Time will take place at Chorley Cricket Club, Sandringham Road on August 19 at 7.30pm as part of Chorley and District Gardening Society. New members and visitors are welcome to attend. There will be refreshments, a raffle and a members’ plant stall.

Mudipping fun

Reptiles at park
