Chorley Community Housing (CCH) has funded a new portable public address system for Eaves Green Community Centre in Chorley.
The PA system is for all community groups who use the centre, and will be used for meetings, social events, youth groups and exercise and dance groups.
Samantha Hornsby, neighbourhood development officer at CCH, said: “This equipment will enable more events to take place at the community centre and will be used by a number of different groups. It’s nice to be able to support the community centre and the groups that use it.”
The new equipment has been funded through a grant from the CCH neighbourhood fund and has been gifted to the community centre.
Chris Richardson, community engagement manager at CCH, added: “It’s wonderful that we have been able to gift this equipment to the community centre thanks to cash from our neighbourhood fund.
“The CCH neighbourhood fund has invested £50,000 into Chorley communities every year since 2010. We are delighted to have been able to support 45 projects in the Chorley area through the fund during the current financial year.”
