New order for tech firm

Business news from the Lancashire Evening Post

Business news from the Lancashire Evening Post

A Lancashire technology firm has landed a “significant” new order for its carbon-busting technology.

Clean Air Power, which is based on Aston Way, Leyland, confirmed on Thursday it had received the order for its Genesis Edge technology, which allow heavy duty engines to run on a combination of diesel and natural gas.

It said the order from an unnamed Spanish logistics operator would see it supply 30 systems in addition to the 50 it supplied to the customer in April.

Chief executive John Pettitt said the second order underlined operator’s faith in its technology.

He said: “Clean Air Power’s progress, together with the increasing recognition of natural gas as a road fuel among major manufacturers and global fuel providers, is very encouraging.

“Our range of product offerings continues to develop and will give us the opportunity of entering new markets, both for our retrofit and our original equipment manufacturer systems.”

The systems will be delivered this year.
