A new consultation will take place over controversial gypsy and traveller site plans.
In September, Chorley Council put forward a site at Cowling Farm, off Cowling Road, for a minimum of five permanent traveller pitches.
This was then put before a Planning Inspector later that month.
Following the hearing, the Inspector has asked the council to consult on a ‘Revised Schedule of Proposed Modifications’ as part of the Local Plan.
Chorley Council previously held a consultation on nine sites throughout the borough.
The new consultation is only for the preferred site at Cowling Farm.
People have until Wednesday, December 3 to register fresh concerns.
All concerns made at the previous consultation will be taken into consideration.
The council now asks that only fresh concerns are raised on the Cowling site.
Coun Alistair Bradley, Leader of Chorley Council, said: “This consultation is part of the process to ensure that we comply with the timetable set out by the Planning Inspectorate to move our Local Plan to formal adoption early next year.
“This offers people a chance to have their say on this specific element of the plan and the consultation will run until December 3.
“All comments made at previous stages will be taken into account by the Inspector. Views are only being sought if you consider that the ‘Schedule of Proposed Modifications’ raises something new.”
This consultation includes amendments to the wording of the proposed new Local Plan Policy HS11 which now names Cowling Farm as the proposed allocation for the provision of a minimum of five permanent Traveller pitches and the identification of this proposed allocation on the Policies Map.
People will able to view the Schedule of the Proposed Modifications by logging onto www.chorley.gov.uk/planning.
Local libraries and post offices in villages without a library will also have copies on the plans.
The documents are available for inspection during normal opening hours.
People will also be able to visit the council offices on Union Street from 8.45am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
