Nanny denies baby manslaughter (hear 999 call)
A nanny accused of killing a baby in her care moved a tube of cream used to treat bruises to hide the fact she had assaulted the tot, a court heard.
Linda Wise of Meirion Drive in Conwy, North Wales is accused of the manslaughter of Isaac Rowlinson, who died aged 13 months on July 23 2007.
Wise, 47, was employed by his parents, Lancashire Police Officers Det Ins Paul Rowlinson and Det Cons Lisa Rowlinson of Moorfield Close in Penwortham after Isaac developed feeding problems.
The nanny, who formerly worked for high profile celebrities and European Royalty is alleged to have shaken him, causing brain injuries that later led to his death.
In his opening address at Liverpool Crown Court, Prosecutor Nick Johnson QC said on the day of Isaac's death police had photographed a tube of Arnica cream on Isaac's changing table which his parent's had not put there.
But when Isaac's mum Lisa came home the cream had been removed.
The prosecution allege Wise moved the cream back to its usual place.
He said: "We suggest that that photograph is significant evidence in this case. We suggest that the overwhelming inference is that Linda Wise did something to Isaac that she expected to result in bruising and that is why she had retrieved the Arnica from downstairs."

The court heard on August 19 Linda Wise had been in and out of Isaac's room and he had been sick an unusual amount.
The following day Isaac was unusually distressed and he ended up in hospital having a choking episode.
Mr Johnson added: "The doctors that treated Isaac are of the opinion he probably suffered a less severe bleed in his head that night which was a pre-cursor to what was to happen in September."
On September 3 the Rowlinsons decided to have a short break in the Lake District. At around 7am that day Linda Wise called for an ambulance.
In a frantic phone call to the emergency services and played to the jury, the baby can be heard wailing in the background as she says: "His eyes seem very spacey."
After that, the prosecution allege, Wise's version of events began to change as she spoke to Isaac's parents, other medics, and the police.
Isaac died 9 months later on July 23 2007 after suffering an epiliectic fit - which the prosecution allege was brought on by brain injuries caused by the nanny.
A Home Office pathologist concluded the injuries Isaac suffered in 2006 led to the epilepsy which killed him.
