The Ice Bucket Challenge craze is sweeping Lancashire with hundreds of folk taking the plunge for charity – and sharing the video evidence online.
Videos of people being drenched with a bucket of cold water over their head are springing up across social media, helping to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease and bringing in cash for various charities.
The challenge has seen the likes of Preston North End manager Simon Grayson and the club’s mascot the Deepdale Duck get a soaking.
Over at Preston Bus Station, Bob Dunn took part in the charity challenge while the workers at Freckleton-based estate agency Tem-po also took part.
The craze has seen feeds of social media filled with videos. The challenge began in aid of the ALS Association in the US but people have also been donating to other causes close to their hearts.
Pals of Emma Grandison, 31, from Longton, who is fighting terminal cancer, have taken part in their droves raising money for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation and the neo natal unit at the Royal Preston Hospital.
