MY BIGGEST BARGAIN

“My favourite bargains are a couple of bracelets which I bought from a shop in Chorley called Azure, which has unfortunately closed down since.

“It was a great shop as it was full floor to ceiling with jewellery and it was all cheap and they had some really different things.

“The shop stocked a huge variety of items and as well as normal necklaces and rings, you could find some lovely quirky and unusual things.

“Both these bracelets were only £3 each and I bought them because I was looking for some chunky jewellery to wear on nights out.

“I prefer silver jewellery rather than gold and I wanted some cheap accessories to add a bit to whatever outfit I was wearing.

“The thicker bracelet caught my eye as it has some lovely detailing on it and it is really good quality and looks a lot more expensive than it is.

“I actually lost this bracelet at one point, but because it was only £3, I just went back to the shop and bought another one exactly the same!

“The other bracelet appealed to me because of its unusual shape.

“Both bracelets are really good quality and, although I have had them a couple of years, they have not tarnished or peeled at all.

“I love them and wear them regularly on nights out.

“I think chunky jewellery really makes a statement and helps dress up an outfit.

“I was quite sad when the shop I bought them from closed down.

“These bracelets are definitely my biggest bargain items.

“I don’t buy bargains very often as I am more a splashing out type of person.”

MY ULTIMATE SPLURGE

“My splurge is this pair of Van trainers. These are the third pair of Van trainers I bought and they were the most expensive at £60.

“I am a huge trainer fan.

“I used to spend a lot of money on heels but a couple of years ago I worked at Foot Asylum as a temporary Christmas job.

“Foot Asylum sell a lot of branded sneakers and trainers and I had to buy a pair to wear while I was at work as part of my uniform.

“This started off my love for trainers and, since then, I have bought lots of branded trainers.

“I like Vans because they are so comfortable and they look good and you can wear them daily.

“They also last for ages. I have a pair of Vans I have been wearing for years and they still look great.

“I think that when it comes to trainers, investment really pays off.

“Buying similar unbranded trainers just isn’t the same as the quality isn’t as good and they don’t last as long.”
