MY BIGGEST BARGAIN
“When it comes to my wardrobe, I don’t really go with the flow to be honest. I go with what I think is nice. I don’t like to fit the mould.
“My coat is from ASOS and was a complete bargain because it is just so cool and it was only £40.
“I can wear it for work, to the pub, if it’s raining or if it’s cold – it is so multi-functional.
“It is like a short trench coat and a pea coat in one. I certainly feel cool when I’m wearing it.
“I once had three coats in my cupboard that were worth £450 each.
“So I had three coats worth almost £1,500 and they were horrible.
“I got rid of them years ago. I don’t even know why I bought them.
“When I bought my house, I decided to become a smarter shopper.
“I also got my glasses cheap at two pairs for £50 off the internet.
“I think it’s important to have a few pairs of glasses. I have four and generally wear two but I like to change it up depending on my mood.
“During the week, I’ll just switch it up so I feel different and don’t just wear the same pair all the time.
“ASOS is my favourite store to shop at as it has got free shipping and endless choice.
“I also like Zara and it is my label of choice.
“I just think it has a really great balance between quality, style and value for money.”
MY ULTIMATE SPLURGE
“My blue shoes are one of my favourite splurges.
“They were from ASOS and were on sale at half price for £20.
“I’d say they were a splurge rather than a bargain because they are an accessory and also because my wife hates them.
“I’m absolutely fine with that!
“Apart from my blue shoes, she thinks I’m cool.
“I picked the blue shoes because they are very different and not many other people like them but they suit me. I like to wear them when it’s sunny and I have shorts on.
“I think they’re great because of the style, the colour and the fact that I look a little bit different in them. I’d definitely buy another pair.
“There was a pink pair – well fuchsia – and I’m still thinking about them.
“All my shoes are a splurge because you’ve got to accessorise your clothes.
“You’ve got to have the right pair of shoes to match your top. I feel best when I’m wearing a new pair of shoes.
“I’ve changed my buying habits.
“I used to buy a pair of jeans for £250 but now I’m a lot more savvy in how I shop and will never buy anything that is not on sale because it just makes sense to save all that money.”
