Murder charge woman remanded
A woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man found stabbed to death in a Leyland street.
Susan Kenny, 33, of Manor House Close, Leyland, appeared at Ormskirk Magistrates' Court on Monday morning charged with the murder of Kevin Rogers, 23.
No application for bail was made and she was remanded into custody until her next appearance at Preston Crown Court on January 11.
The hearing was to have taken place at Chorley but was moved.
Mr Rogers, of Bannister Drive, Leyland, was found by police in Edgehill Crescent, Leyland, at around 5.30am on January 1.
Police had been called to a party in the street and discovered him lying in the middle of the road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that Mr Rogers died from a single fatal stab wound.
Several members of his family were at Monday's court appearance.
