A Lancashire MP has joined farmers to discuss matters that affect the farming community.
Wyre and Preston North MP Ben Wallace joined Representatives from the National Union of Farmers and local farmers and growers to discuss many issues which affect the farming locally and nationally.
Falling milk prices was high on the agenda along with many issues including Bovine TB.
Mr Wallace said: “It is vital that the concerns of local farmers and growers are heard at the highest level. We have a great tradition of farming here in Lancashire and supplying high quality local produce. I would like to see a much greater awareness of where produce comes from and how it gets to us. Our local farmers and growers are second to none, but do we really appreciate what goes into getting our potatoes, other vegetables eggs, milk, meat, etc to us.”
