Preston MP, Mark Hendrick will be visiting the new Tanterton Community Centre in Ingol, Preston, tomorrow.
The venue recently reopened after locals formed an action group to take over the running of the centre.
More than thirty volunteers help run a variety of activities and hope to open a cafe too.
Mr Hendrick said: “It is fantastic to see how this group has pulled together to save a vital community facility.”
Lead Volunteer, David Speakman added: “Things are looking good, its early days yet as we have only been open for three months but we are already well ahead of where we thought we would be.”
