Morris Minor fans pose for calendar

Lancashire Morris Minor enthusiasts have stripped down to the bare essentials to pose with their beloved motors for charity.

The county's branch of the Morris Minor Owners' Club joined forces with members from the North East group to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Andrew Rudman, treasurer of the Lancashire branch, said: "The Morris Minor organisation wants to raise 1m so we thought we would do our little bit and do a calendar."

An enthusiast for most of his life, Andrew said: "It's the first car I ever drove and my love of Morris Minors has been since then."

John Riley, a member of the North East branch who came to Preston to meet with fellow motorists, said: "They're great fun. Everybody knows somebody who has had one or who has a passion for them.

"You always get smiles and people coming up to talk to you. It's something different in today's motoring."
