Man taken to hospital after shopping centre fall

A man has been taken to hospital after plunging from the first floor of a Preston shopping centre.

The police and ambulance were called to The Mall St George's Shopping Centre at 5.15pm on Tuesday after reports a man had fallen 10ft onto the ground floor, at the Friargate end of the centre.

Friargate was closed by police to allow the ambulance access and a 35-year-old man was taken to Royal Preston Hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
