Man dies in motorway crash
A man has been killed after the car he was driving left a Lancashire motorway and overturned.
The driver, who was believed to be in his 20s, was travelling north along the M6 when he crashed at around 4.30am on Sunday.
The car left the carriageway close to Stubbins Lane, Claughton-on-Brock, between junction 32 and 33.
It collided with trees and fences before coming down an embankment and landing on its side, facing towards the motorway.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and cut from the car by crews from Preston fire station.
Two women passengers in the car escaped with minor injuries and were taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary by paramedics.
The M6 was closed northbound for almost two hours while accident investigations took place on the carriageway.
No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.
Anyone who may have any information on the crash is asked to call Lancashire Police's motorway unit on 08451 253545.
