A man who attacked a rail passenger with a beer can is being sought by British Transport Police.
The assault happened on platform three of Lancaster Station when a 31-year-old man from Morecambe left a London to Glasgow express at around 9pm on Friday, May 23.
Police say a man followed him off the train, poured beer down his back and then threw the can at him.
PC Gavin Daw said: “During the journey the victim had been subjected to verbal abuse by a group of drunken men.
“When he left the train he was followed by one of the men who poured beer down his back and then threw the empty can at his back. Clearly this was not an incident which left the victim with serious injuries, but he was extremely intimidated by the assault and was left fearing for his safety.”
Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV footage should contact the police on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
