A new-look pub reopened on Saturday following a £90,000 makeover.
The Malthouse Farm, next to the Leeds Liverpool Canal, Whittle-le Woods. has been given a fresher, brighter feel.
Pulling the first pint behind the bar general manager Sharon Young, said: “We are really impressed by the improvements that have been made as a result of this latest renovation.
“As a landmark in the community we were conscious that any refurbishment had to take into account the historic nature of the building.”
She added: “We look forward to sharing our fresh new look with returning and new guests alike over the coming weeks and months and providing them with a meal to remember in an enviable setting.”
As well as being given a new look, the menu at the Malthouse Farm, a Chef & Brewer pub, has also been revamped, with ‘timeless pub dishes, hearty portion sizes and big, bold flavours’.
Chef & Brewer is part of Spirit Pub Company which owns and operates around 800 managed pubs across the UK.
Other brands in its portfolio include Flaming Grill, Fayre & Square and Taylor Walker.
