Personal trainer Karl Fleming has begun his new military-style lunchtime fitness sessions in Preston’s Winckley Square, to help clear away the cobwebs of desk-bound workers.
For many workers, lunch time exercise consists of little more than a dash to the shop or a trip to the canteen. But Karl is hoping to give workers’ dinner hours an energy boost – with a lunchtime bootcamp.
He first voiced the idea earlier this year and has now been given permission by Preston Council to run the fitness sessions.
Karl, who is based at Buckshaw Village, said the sessions were designed to be an intensive workout.
The bootcamp style sessions involve interval training including speed and agility, as well as body weights.
The first session was held at the beginning of this month and the new and unique classes are already proving popular.
