A pedestrian had a lucky escape after being partially trapped amid the debris.

Paramedics, firefighters and police were called to the bus station as commuters made their way home on Thursday evening.

The pedestrian, in his 20s, was helped to safety. He suffered minor injuries.

The stand was sealed off while the area was made safe.

Witness Peter McMullan, who took the picture above, said: “It’s like something from a horror movie – you are just standing there and a bus crashes through the front of the station.”

An investigation has been launched into what happened.
