Lostprophets to play Preston
WELSH rockers Lostprophets are to play at Preston's 53 Degrees in February.
The Pontypridd nu-metal band, led by Ian Watkins, are bringing their newly announced UK tour to the Brook Street venue on February 13 to support the release of fourth album, The Betrayed.
They booked the Preston show after cancelling a gig at Doncaster Dome on the same date. Spokesman for 53 Degrees Russ Carlton said: "Doncaster's loss is luckily our gain.
"It's great that we are starting to get some of the bigger rock acts in here. We have worked hard this year to diversify our programme and Lostprophets follows on well from gigs like DragonForce and Skindred."
Formed in 2001, Lostprophets have scored two Top 10 hits with Last Train Home and Rooftops and all three albums have gone gold.
Tickets are 22.50, on sale now from Student Union reception on 01772 893000, Action Records, Church Street, Preston, on 01772 258809, or online at www.lancashiretickets.com
