Nine young people who have been involved in offending discovered their artistic side during an intensive three-week arts project this summer.
The theme of the programme was restorative justice, focussing on making amends and putting things right.
The project, which led to each young person gaining a Bronze Arts Award, was managed by the Lancashire Youth Offending Team, arts organisation Resource Creatives and Unitas, who funded it.
The group, from Preston and South Lancashire, worked with local sculptor Peter Hodgkinson and poet Terry Caffrey.
Allan Miller, Lancashire Youth Offending Team’s service manager for Preston, said: “This was a very original project and some creative work came out of it.”
