A woman was cut from a car following a collision in Tarleton on Friday night.
Fire crews and paramedics were called to the two-car collision just before 11pm at Gorse Lane.
Station manager Tom Cookson said the occupants of one car had been released before the fire service arrived.
He said: “One vehicle ended up off the road and went into a ditch.
“One female was released by fire fighters using rescue equipment to remove the doors and the roof.
“She was taken to hospital, but her injuries were not thought to be lift threatening.”
Fire engines from Tarleton and Penwortham attended.
