Weather chiefs have revealed Lancashire wll be seeing far more wintry weather conditions by next week due to a meteorlogical phenomenon
Sudden Stratospheric Warming (SSW), which has wreaked havoc with weather predication systems, usually leads to cold air being brought in from a north or easterly direction.
From Monday there could be widespread overnight frosts, and temperatures could plunge as low as -10C at night. There is the risk of snow showers and icy road conditions.
