Warehouse break-in

Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves broke into a warehouse belonging to an electrical distributor.

They broke into Harry B Litherland on Cornford Road, Blackpool, in the early hours of Friday, February 15, between 1am and 3.50am.

The offenders approached the warehouse via an adjoining school field, removed sheet metal sides and gained access.

Once inside they stole more than £20,000 worth of electrical goods, including 78 television sets and 11 DVR hard disk drives.

PC Stuart Fitzpatrick, from Blackpool Police, said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have information about this incident to come forward and contact the police.

“Given the large amount of items stolen, there must have been more than one offender and they must have had a vehicle. If anyone recalls a vehicle, probably a van, in the Cornford Road area in the early hours of Friday morning, then I would ask them to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Blackburn Police on 101, Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
