UPDATE: Man stabbed in Preston city centre attack

A 30-year-old man has undergone surgery after being stabbed in Preston city centre.

Detectives are investigating an assault in the early hours of Saturday morning, when the man was stabbed on Glovers’ Court.

The victim made his way to Church Street close to Waterstones’ bookshop where he was treated by paramedics prior to being transferred to hospital.

Uniformed police officers were on the scene from around 4am on Saturday, until an examination by forensic experts concluded at around 11am.

Three men from Preston aged 18, 19 and 20 have been arrested and bailed on suspicion of wounding.
