Unpaid work for man over city assault

A man has been ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work after he admitted assaulting another man.

Nick Lee Kirby, of Preesall Road, Larches, Preston, attacked a man in Preston on October 5, Preston Magistrates Court heard.

The 25-year-old, who pleaded guilty to assault, was ordered to pay compensation of £75 to his victim.

The bench also ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and court costs of £85.
