Two killed in motorbike crash

latest news

latest news

A motorbike rider and his passenger were killed after a motorbike accident in the Lancashire countryside.

A 46-year-old man and his 25-year-old woman passenger died when their Honda motorcycle collided with a tractor on Mythop Road, near Weeton at 4pm on Sunday.

The tractor driver was “shocked but uninjured” but a second motorbike, a Suzuki GSX750, riding in a convoy with the Honda was not involved.

Sgt Malcolm Bell, of the Lancashire Police road policing unit, asked anyone who witnessed the collision or had seen the motorcycles prior to the incident to get in touch.

He said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision itself or who saw these two bikes in the lead up to the collision to get in touch”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting log 1194 of September 9.
