Two cars were set on fire in a suspected arson attack in a car park in Mendip Road.
Firefighters said the Volkswagen Fox and Vauxhall Tigra were well alight when they arrived at the scene, just after midnight on Saturday morning.
They spent more than an hour tackling the fires.
Watch manager Graham Knowles said: “Youths were seen and heard in the area and then there was a loud bang, so the fire is being treated as suspicious.
“We found a bottle of antifreeze close to the cars which may have been used to ignite them.
“The police established with us who the owner was and the same guy owned both cars.
“Nobody was hurt in the incident.”
