A man is due to appear before magistrates tomorrow accused of breaching his ASBO by making calls to Lancashire Police’s professional standards unit and data protection unit based at Hutton.
David Beaver, 50, of Tulketh Crescent, Ashton-On-Ribble, Preston, is accused of making “unnecessary and persistent” calls to both police departments.
The offences are alleged to have happened between January 1 and April 30 this year, putting him in breach of an anti social behaviour order, a previous court hearing heard.
He has pleaded not guilty to the offence.
A trial has started at Preston Magistrates Court and will be resumed on Tuesday.
The two year ASBO was imposed in October 2012 at South Ribble Magistrates Court after the former Leyland man was found to have caused a nuisance to police and his neighbours.
Beaver caused criminal damage to property, threatened residents, and abused 999 call takers - but pleaded his innocence.
